The name "Cuvee Barcelona 1872" refers to the year that Codorniu, the winery that produces this wine, was founded in Barcelona. "Do Cava" indicates that the wine is made in the traditional method used to produce Cava, which involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle.
The term "Brut" means that the wine is dry, with very little residual sugar. The wine has a pale yellow color and a fine, persistent mousse (bubbles).
